October–November, 2014 – After launching our Indiegogo campaign, our press release was picked up by Dread Central and A Southern Life in Scandalous Times, as well as a number of crowdfunding websites. Over the course of the next several weeks, the campaign received mentions by Daily Dead, Film Pulse, The Examiner, I Wanna Be A Geek, and Horror Whores. Our pitch video was also uploaded to Reddit where it spent about a day at the top spot. It was also the first project listed in Indiegogo's October 28 Horror Newsletter, and it was the Indiewire Project of the Day on November 10.
October 3, 2014 – The horror blog A Southern Life in Scandalous Times posted our teaser.
May 23, 2014 – Video Diary #5 was shared by Frequency.
April 29, 2014 – We made our first casting announcement. Dread Central announced it, plus a somewhat snarky Bloody Disgusting who didn’t appreciate our April Fool’s prank four weeks earlier. It was also picked up in Portuguese.
April 9, 2014 – The Gonzales Cannon announced that we would be shooting there.
January 2014 – Our first press release announcing the film got picked up by Dread Central, Bloody Disgusting, Horror-Movies.ca, HorrorNews.net, Arrow in the Head, Scariest Movies Online, Daily Dead, Horror Movies Uncut, MoviePilot, Horror Town USA, A Southern Life, the UK’s Horror Cult Films, and 8 foreign outlets (Read it in Spanish, German, French, German again, Japanese, Czech, Turkish, and Bosnian).
